I have the PS3 version of Oblivion. I have completed the thieves guild questline and have become the guildmaster and have the grey fox cowl. During my missions I noticed that Fathis Ules the fence in the elven gardens did not allow me to sell him items. The option to buy/sell at the bottom never appeared. Since I had already reached 2000 before even getting him as a fence it didn't really bother me. I just used the guy in Anvil. However now that I am guildmaster from my understanding he is supposed to be a permanent fixture of the thieves guild hall so I do not have to run around. I have checkever every hour all day long and he NEVER comes to the guild hall. From what I read he should at least for sure be there between 7pm and 5am. Also I have gone and found him in the Elven Gardens and he STILL WILL NOT buy items from me or sell them yet he claims to be the best fence available. Is this just broken in the ps3 version or something? What am I missing. So now I am the guildmaster and I have NO FENCE in my HQ? I am pretty bummed.....

This game has been out for a year now. How can they not fix this and release it for console?!?!?!

Bethesda seems to not even care about fixing things, at least from I've seen. The new patch barely even fixed any of the bugs in the game. Luckily for the Unofficial Patch mod. :p

The thing about Fathis Ules is that he is the main component of another quest in another town (don't ask which; I can't remember).

Unfortunately, he is also a fence for the Thieves Guild, and the fact that he does both (fence and give you another quest) effectively fucks up everything. Even when you complete said quest, he says something along the lines of "I have no more business with you".
Great!

Good to know that the PS3 version of Oblivion is intact, at least. lol

But yeah... in the end, just use the fence in Anvil.

if i remember correctly Ules is part of the Mythic Dawn, so eventually he will attack u on sight and u would have to kill him, well at least that´s what happened when i play Oblivion, a long time ago, so don´t worry u would have your revenge

Not to digress too much but this is going to happen more and more as consoles try to match the size and complexity of PC games.

Can the PS3 patch games?
