i noticed that you play warcraft3..... did you by any chance find a fix to kill off the mouse accel in mac os x?

I thought of it more as a mouse slowdown in wc3. At first it really bothered me, but recently either I got used to it or it went away...And I can't exit from within the game or else it freezes the mac, so I minimize it and force quit out. Do you have to do the same?

the skin for my ichat is something i threw together... just very simplistic. i usually change the bg color or transparency to blend in with my background.

Well, I had the same annoyance with the mouse acceleration on macs too. I found this little fix though. Just input these two lines into the terminal.

defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1
defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.trackpad.scaling -1

That'd be Synergy Cost like 5Euro's but it's like the perfect thing for me, even shows me when my songs change with a cool little transparent pop-up with the album art and everything. I went through everything in the musingsfrommars.com article and settled on this one for myself.

It works across all my desktops in VirtueDesktops too which was the biggest hit for me.

Hey Optional, how did you set your "active marker" on your dock to be white? I got cleardock from the link on page 1 and now my background is black where the dock is, so I can't see it.

You can change the triangle in ClearDock as well.
