Looks like it's over for Affinity users. They say nothing will change but we all know that isn't going to be true. Canva has nothing but web apps and subscriptions, it would make no sense to not make Affinity subscription only from their perspective.

I'm similarly skeptical though Canva have claimed that they will 'always' offer perpetual licenses now and in the future (though the 'always' wording is only in the image not text) and any subscription would be alongside it.

From what I can tell offline activation is only possibly in v2 via a business volume license, while in v1 it was the norm. So if someone cares about longevity it's something to consider.
