Is the Abit IC7-G MAX 2 temps wrong?

I heard that Abit IC7-G MAX 2 reads higher then they are for the processor.. Is it true?

I do think 50c is little high for not being on full load.
 
Subtract ~13 dgreees C and that is what your actual tempature. Abit has know of this problem for a while. They keep telling us that they will fix the problem in the bios but yet to have done anything. :rolleyes: :(
 
Whoa -13??? its that much difference? that means i have 27°C Idle. kool.

digitalman Can you confirm?? I knew that the Temp reading were off, because i read an article about, but i never remembered how much, can you tell me where you got that Info from?
 
they fixed the temperature for the prescott people but i don't know if its the proper reading or not
 
yea I'm aware of that, i remember reading that as well, and how somecases the temperature goes even Higher by 2°C LoL
