Quest About XP Pro

Hey Guys,
I just built a slave computer for my network, and installed Windows XP Pro. Everything went fine, however, when I anytime I click on something that requires a menu to come up, (example; clicking the start button) the menu lags when it's showing up. For example; I click the start button, and instead of it coming right up, it lags.. I have updated windows, and my video drives (on board video) other then that, I'm beat. I can't think of anything else to do.

Advice would be greatly appericate!

Thank you

- Alex

On system performance options, uncheck everything but last 4 marks, that should get rid of the lag

Good Luck

system specs of the computer? i mean if it's relatively old, the eye candy would slow it down, using the classic windows look would also increase performance (if that was included in the unchecking all the performance options, then meh )
