2 settings not recognized from MB in Win XP

in my device manager i have two things that are not installed from the motherboard. "SM Bus Controller" and "universal Serial Bus Control." SPecs in Sig. I installed the drivers included with the Motherboards cd rom. what could these be and how to i get windows to install the device drivers?

hmm installed new intel drivers and now the usb control is the only one without drivers installed.

unpack the intel drivers to a folder, then remove that device from device manager, reboot, when the system comes up and it asks for the drivers point it to that directory. If it still doesn't want to install the drivers then its more than likely a setting, conflict, or hardware failure issue.

Do you have SP1 installed? There were several USB 2.0 fixes in that. Go to intel's website and download the USB drivers, last I checked they were not in the main chipset pack. Then do what ^ said.
