Explorer > Open Lead to access is denied error

When navigating folders/drives in windows xp if I right click into the context menu and select Open I get an error in the format:

Title[Path]
[Path]
Access is denied.

However if I do the same process on a folder but select explore instead it works fine, just opens it up in a new window. What gives?

Any Ideas how to fix this minor issue?
