Debian network config problems

Got it!

I tried 3 different dialup programs and kept checking all my configs. Nothing works.

I finally installed ppxp using the package manager and it works.

I am typing this from the debian box.

I don't know what's so special about ppxp, but it's the only one that I could get to work.

So now I can at least get online to search, ask questions etc.
