Cell Phone + String = Better Than A Drone?

Guy is pro....keeping centrifugal motion on his hand, whilst in skies, whilst balancing on a gate, whilst twirling his body around......F me!

From the shadow it look like he may have had something attached to the cellphone. Possibly a weight or something to create drag to keep the focal point center. Guessing a weight of some kind.
 
Apart from starting, stopping and going slowly which might be difficult, I wonder if using some sort of iphone paragliding sail might be more effective, so you don't have to twirl the damn thing the entire time.
 
That was the definition of cool, seriously, and not because everything was covered in snow. ;)
