If this is true, that is comedy gold. I tried really hard not to laugh when I read that, but I honestly couldn't help myself. Thanks to Mal for the link!

Pornhub, one of the world’s most popular adult video sites, told GamesBeat that it saw a 10 percent drop in traffic among gamers after Fallout 4 came out earlier this week. On November 10, traffic started to drop at around 5 a.m. after most people finished downloading and installing the game. That decrease from normal patterns continued until around 3 p.m. Gamers then seemed to disappear again beginning at 6 p.m.

Actually, all of those people are just working on their nude-mods for Fallout 4, so they can make their own. :p

That is the truth about video game nerds though which is also the same for us car buffs. Give me American muscle, and my favorite Dolly Parton herself could not distract me.
 
I'm surprised people buy games on release day for a title like this which will have follow up content that will later appear in a bundle. I guess when you want something badly enough you don't wait.

So why buy a game now when you can wait 2 years? That makes perfect sense. :p
 
Going by Metacritic user reviews Pornhub traffic should be back to normal levels now.
 
I generally do wait. The only case where it makes sense to me to buy close to release are games with a multiplayer component where you want to take advantage of interest and activity.

Anyway amusing thread. Just wait until virtual reality is mature.
