Here’s the lowdown on “Antigua XT,” which is reported to be available in a little over a week.

The Radeon R9 380X will feature 2048 Stream Processors, 4GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bit interface. Earlier reports suggesting that full Tonga GPU could actually have 384-bit bus were most likely inaccurate. The reference clock speeds were not yet confirmed, but the card is expected to run at 1000+ MHz frequency.

With the 380X at a pricepoint of $249, perhaps we will see Nvidia respond by finally releasing one of the 960 Ti cards they were testing a long time ago.

The 970 was actually down to $249 the other week. I'd REALLY like to seem them come out with a 970 Ti and add another couple gigs of ram for 6 total or err, 5.5

Hmm. That looks a lot like a 280X with 4GB of ram. For the 250 dollar price tag I guess it's not bad but there would be no point for me to upgrade. I'd have to go with a 290X or 390X. Yikes.
