Shut down after only six months? Damn! Amazon Destinations didn't even last as long as the Fire Phone.

Amazon Destinations, the travel site that offered deals on hotel stays, is no more. The company shut down the site yesterday, just six months after it began offering reduced rates on one- to three-night stays within driving distance of a city.

They had a travel site? Oh wait maybe that's exactly why they crashed and burned.

I mean Orbitz, Hotels, Priceline, Expedia , etc etc... the market is flooded with sites that gets you "cheap" hotel, plane, car accommodations.
