Hello Everyone, long time reader, first time poster here with a question/issue I would like some help with.
I ordered an SG13B-Q case and it will be here next week, specs below:
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=536
One thing that worries me is the fact that the PSU location will be pretty much directly above the CPU Cooler.
I was originally planning to use the Noctua NH-L9i (low profile Air cooler) based on the crazy reviews and ratings ive found on it, specs below:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608029
The other CPU cooler option is a pre-made liquid cooling loop with a radiator etc.
I would prefer the air cooler however my fear is that the air cooler pulling air down, with the PSU directly above pulling air up (literally 2 inches above it) will cause some sort of issue with the fans/cooling ability of one of the devices.
Are top mounted PSUs able to be installed upside down to draw air in? Would that cause any issues? Should I reverse the fan on the CPU cooler to draw up instead? would that work if Noctua sells it and recommends it to blow down?
Basically I am looking for info from anyone that has installed a PSU directly above an Air CPU cooler and has tried one or more of the above configurations....
Any insight is greatly appreciated, thank you!
