Cool 2D/3D LED Lamps

These 2D/3D LED lamps are pretty neat. It's a new twist on an old idea but cool nonetheless.

Sad part is that with the size of the base, you still end up with just as much of a footprint as if you had an actual lamp. Is still a neat concept though, although I would never buy one.

The uneven lighting at close range would annoy the hell out of me if I were to use it as a desk lamp or reading light.

This is literally etched plexiglass with a handful of LED's aligned to the inner edge. You see it in the arts and crafts world all the time. There is nothing unique or special about it. They literally are just marketing this to people at home now.

There is about $3 in total materials used to make one of these. Plus whatever prefab easy etching materials they are using to do the design.

This is not creative, unique, repurposed or anything special. Also the light will blow donkey balls as a desk lamp.

A very gimmicky gimmick.
