There is a ton of announcements coming out of the Apple event today and the crew at Engadget is jotting it all down as it happens.

As with all of the "S" iPhone models, the 6s is more about refinement than massive design leaps. It's not exactly a device meant to entice existing iPhone 6 owners, instead it's meant more for people stuck with older iPhones, or those whose cellphone contracts didn't allow them to upgrade over the past year. And for those who've waited, it looks to be worth it.

The most bizarre thing was Microsoft being on stage with Apple showing Office on Apple's version of a Surface Pro. What's next- Nvidia going to start writing graphic driver's for AMD? lol

Microsoft is in the business of selling software, their main priority is to get office on all platforms. Much like how Google prioritizes their software on iOS versus Android, you go where the money is at.

As an owner of an iPhone 6 and iPad Air, there is absolutely nothing of interest today. The TV is useless. I'm very happy with my Roku, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The watch is a joke. I have a Vivofit2 that never needs charging, very happy with it.

Hey, look! We're catching up to Android! And we can make a Surface, too!

Microsoft's recent forays into the hardware market have not been very successful and with the EU on the anti-Trust warpath against every non-European country they might be circling the wagons around the software side of the business (an area where they remain in an extraordinarily powerful position) ... there have also been several articles suggesting that they want to make Office the new Windows for their company (this seems to line up nicely with that strategy) ... if Microsoft can get users on all three platforms (Windows, Android, and iOS) using their software that is an enormous win for them and very good for their long term market

But it's still not even like a Surface in terms of software capability. The Surface can run full Adobe applications.
