Here’s What 3D Printed Glass Looks Like

Eh... while it looked nice at the end when light was above it made some interesting patterns over all it's limited to that same texture it seems due to the surface tension in the glass laying ropes of glass, where as a glass blower could make a smooth surface.

So while definitely neat, it's MIT, I expect more from them :)
 
Could make for some awesome fresnel lenses using different material percentages in the extruded mix. Especially if they could lay a fine bead and'or melt and re-solidify
 
And here I was thinking of printing lenses for glasses that'll pop into my 3d printed glasses... Oh well, here's for more waiting. I would do it if I knew how... anyone?
