According to the numbers from NPD, the video game industry bounced back in July with solid growth across the board.

Overall sales of software, hardware and game accessories in the US grew 18 percent for the month to $869.4 million. As has been the case in previous months, sales of games over the Internet are an even brighter spot for the industry. SuperData Research, which tracks sales and deliveries over the Internet of games and game add-ons, said the market grew 18 percent in June to $1.02 billion year over year.
