BIOS "tweaks" to get memory working?

I have one of these motherboards: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157531. The problem is it doesn't boot when I have a stick of RAM installed in DIMM_A1 slot. I know the RAM works, it's Kingston value RAM pulled from a working system. I'm wondering if it just isn't compatible with this motherboard or if maybe the DIMM slot is really bad. Are there any "tweaks" in BIOS which could fix this issue?

Does it boot with other ram in that slot? Is only one stick that doesn't work in the slot or both? Do both sticks pass a mem test in the other working slot?

Neither sticks boot in that one slot, and both sticks boot in the other. If I had two sets of RAM to try and neither set worked, then I'd feel comfortable saying the slot is bad. But right now I'm not sure and wondering if there's a chance of BIOS settings fix. Probably not.

All the options in BIOS are set to default BTW.
