I can't find a clear answer that if a graphics card output is dual link DVI at 2650x1440 60hz there is a DVI to HDMI cable that can carry the signal to monitor that accepts 2650x1440.

Is it correct that any DVI->HDMI cable must be single link and therefore never be able to support 2650x1440 60hz?

Correct, it will not support it. The only way to get 1440P is DVI dual link OR displayport.

The AMD DVI to HDMI adapters that comes with the 390X may work.

Why would the 390x come with a DVI to HDMI adapter? What card is coming with this? 390x has both DVI and HDMI as well as DP. I looked at a few 390x options and none come with a DVI to HDMI adapter....

it's for using 3 DVI monitors or 3 HDMI monitors.
the 390X has 1 DP, 1 HDMI and 2 DVI.
you get 1 HDMI to DVI adapter and 2 DVI to HDMI adapters with the card.

one was an XFX card and not sure about the other but it was printed on the box that it came with those adapters.

they were both XFX cards,
here is the post with the box,

You need DL DVI to HDMI 2.0, such an adapter doesnt exist.
The monitor likely wont have HDMI 2.0 so it wont be possible anyway.
