It looks like Google is heading back to court again.

The high court's decision not to hear the case leaves intact a March 2014 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which threw out a district judge's finding that Google had not infringed on four different patents. The case will now return to lower courts for further proceedings.

"The Obama administration, responding to a request from the court for its views, asked the justices not to take the case."

Am I missing something here? Are there not supposed to be separation of powers? Why is the Executive branch even putting a word in on what the Judicial branch should be doing?

Every single one of these people need to be fired and blacklisted in the political world.

Separation of powers has long been a myth for a good while now.

...because, as your quote clearly states, they asked the Executive branch for its opinion? Separation of powers doesn't mean that they cannot communicate amongst themselves (although it seems that way sometimes).

Yeah, but they act like they are just underlings of Obama... whatever he says goes?

They just word it so they sound like they are asking for feedback.
