Twitch Bans 'Adults Only' Game Streams

First they banned the cleavage girls, now Twitch is banning AO game streaming? Damn, what's left to watch on Twitch? ;)

If a game’s US version is rated Adults Only by the ESRB, you should not broadcast that game on Twitch. However, ESRB rated Mature versions of Adults Only titles are permitted for streaming, such as Mature versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.

Dont forget its Amazon's Twitch now.

I'd bet San Andreas (maybe Leisure Suit Larry & Singles but who would want to stream those and admit to playing them) is the only game on that list which has ever been streamed on Twitch anyway.
 
Are adult only games even still a thing? I havent seen one in ages then again maybe i just dont pay attention

They exist. But they're not easy to stumble across since most places won't sell them. Even Steam, as far as I'm aware, doesn't sell AO games. Although there are a few anime games that have M rated Steam versions and offer patches to turn them into the AO versions.

But this is honestly stupid on Twitch's part. Who gives a fuck if players are streaming games with AO content? I know the "think of the children" crowd might be up in arms but they are aware that streaming porn sites are all over the place, right?

Right, that's what has me saying WTF. It should be on the streamers part to flag their channel when they know they cater more towards adult content/language and the user for directly breaking the agreement between Twitch and themselves if the choose to accept and aren't an adult. I mean it's the exact same warning that Porn sites use for christ sakes and legally it works.

Twitch is going to keep killing itself the way they did with Justin.TV. It's already starting to feel like I'm watching a bunch of money grabbing PBS kiddies streaming.

It's a Twitch thing. "Kappa" is some guy's face. Typing it in chat shows his this guy's face as an icon. Usually means trolling or generally facetious behavior.

Which is what I kinda mean by the whole "Twitch is dead" thing. :p

Eh, not much :p.

San Andreas got labeled as Adult Only after the whole Hot Coffee mod thing, and then got rebranded as M when they released an "updated" version without the Hot Coffee mod capability.

The game that's not on the AO list yet (probably because it hasn't been released yet) is Hatred. That's what this is all about. The press release linked to in the OP doesn't mention Hatred specifically, but here is Twitch's List of Prohibited Games which does:

They only banned "cleavage" girls in statement not actual practice. The only channels that ended up getting banned were a few shirtless guys. All the original pg 13 cam whore channels remain and as a matter of fact not only have gotten worse, but there are dozens more now. At this point is far worse then it was before the "ban". Most of them aren't even pretending to be a gaming channel at this point, their cam takes up more screen space than the game does. It's really pathetic to be honest. Unfortunately large groups of my sex are apparently gullible idiots who haven't learned they can see far more for free on the internet. So they continue supporting this trash by throwing large amounts of money at it.
 
I don't see why people would resort to some streamed video of a dirty game in order to see it anyway so this ban is pretty meaningless, I'd think. No one's that sad and/or pathetic are they?

There was a twitch channel I came across a week ago where some girl was removing an article of clothing for every 10 subs she got. Keep up the great work Twitch, fucking hypocrits.
