LG 23MP47HQ or Acer G246HYL

So I'm looking to get my brother a nice budget IPS monitor around 120 dollars, and currently i found 2 around this price after coupons.

Both are 119.99 on newegg.

So I'm curious as to which one is better, higher quality, with a better screen? I don't really care for the speaker or the vesa mount. I'll be using a hdmi cable to connect to my video card.

Any help or other monitors at the same price with similiar size led screen would also be appreciated. (23"-24"), IPS, LED ideally. Hdmi or DVI input needed.
