Google's April Fool's Prank

Meh. A bigger prank would have been announcing they were bringing fiber to more markets. Perhaps too cruel to do that...
 
I'm not getting pranked, is this news story the prank?
 
When everyone in the office leaves for lunch in the next 5 minutes I'm changing everyone's homepage to com.google.
 
The beat part about that: I setup a squid proxy to flip images, so google is the only site that isn't broken, lol.

EPIC.

We did this one time to a guy at work. We setup a squid proxy to re-compress any images a few times so they were slightly blurry. he kept adjusting his glasses.

I remember reading at one point that Chinese internet users used to use the original elgoog joke to circumvent the great firewall.

Not sure if that was accurate, but I was amused either way.
 
I typed google.com and it looked normal.

Am I the only one who is not getting the backward google?
