The key to overcoming big data overload? Hire a painter.

To extract some order from this chaos, analysts need to continually reimagine the ways in which they represent their data — which is where Mr. Kohn comes in. He spent 10 years working with scientists and knows how to pose useful questions. He might ask, for instance, What if the data were turned sideways? Or upside down? Or what if you could click on a point on the plotted data and see another dimension?

The image translators work for the construct program. But there's way too much information to decode the Matrix. You get used to it. I...I don't even see the code.

It isn't painters per se, it's new ways of grouping data, and a non-tech mind, are more likely to find those presentations of data, that are not considered by tech minds.

The future is analytics with regards to data, find those clever trends and patterns that nobody thought to look for, these will be the great inventions of the digital age.

How many times has that happened to you when you are working on something and you are stuck....someone just walks in and says "have you tried...." and *BAM* it works. ;)
