Asrock E3C224D4I-14S /LSI 2308 Issues

So I just purchased this motherboard open box from Newegg to upgrade my existing home NAS. I was having issues with it not seeing more than a single drive connected to the LSI controller. I wanted to have the controlled on the IT firmware so decided to attempt a flash, I tried using the supermicro download as well as direct from LSI firmware however I am getting the following message when trying to flash. So as of right now the card does not work at all as the old firmware was removed.

"lerror firmware host failed to boot"


Any thoughts?

So it seems it just didn't want to work in UFI, moved to DOS and it worked.
