I don't know how things work in Australia but I could have sworn that ISPs have an obligation to their customers, not the music industry.

In a response to the draft code tabled to deal with the Australian online-piracy problem, some of the world's largest music publishers have presented a set of draconian measures. ISPs should not only use technology to spy on their own customers, but also to proactively block access to infringing content and websites.

Well, let's not blow this out of proportion, or course the music industry would want the things listed, but they are not part of the code/law that they were referencing.

well, considering australians pay even more for entertainment than we do in europe, piracy is to be expected

you have no idea how good you have it in america, and yet you complain and complain

Well... You could move.

Who pirates music anymore? $10/month will get you all that you need. Sad.

How come music groups never spy on each other and have disputes against each other? Music groups issue takedowns against each other on YouTube. No one said that ever.

We will continue to complain knowing that we never want to have it as bad as you do. Besides, the NSA wants all control of the internet in their hands.
