Can you name some fun, happy, feel-good, positive games?

I was going to suggest beer pong until you added PC only.

Stanley Parable fulfills the PC requirement.

Castle Crashers? Magicka? Still killing shit but funny while you do it...

Sounds like you are just looking for Minecraft or something.

Minecraft. I mean yea it has killing but you can put it in peaceful mode if you want and just go nuts. Past that sports games(for non violet golf and racing).

If you go with emulators you have some good classic arcade games and console games that would work(Pilot Wings 64 came to mind).

Maybe the old skateboarding games like the Tony Hawk ones?

Magicka is intentionally bubbly-fied, it's a very lighthearted game. Animal crossing?

A few thoughts...

Euro Truck Simulator 2
Pool Nation
Train Simulator
Kentucky Route Zero

Walking Dead
Heavy rain
Last of us
I am alive
Valiant hearts: The great War
Dark Souls
Max Payne
Metro 2033
Stalker:SoC
Spec Ops: The Line

I can personally endorse this one, 10/10

The Talos Principle is another first person puzzle game similar to Portal.

Recettear An Item Shop's Tale. There's some monster killing when you go dungeon crawling to hunt for items, but the main theme of the game is running a store selling stuff to make profit. It's a lighthearted game.

And there's also The Sims. Personally I still prefer Sims 3, which is available on Steam. Many great free custom content and custom town already out there created by the community.

I'm confused. Are you looking for feelgood games, or games specifically without any violence?

I'm confused. Are you looking for feelgood games, or games specifically without any violence?

Good question! I do want feelgood games, but I am not opposed to violence.
I can't think of any games that have "funny violence" like old Bugs Bunny 'toons, but...

You get what I mean? I wish I had more examples than Portal, Sims, Landmark, Trine 2, Lego.
I'm not looking for just more of the same though... or Sim City / CIV.

I really liked Telltales 1st Walking Dead game, but only did 2 chapters in part 2.
I have just had enough zombies & depressing shit.

I want a happy ending! :D
Has anyone found an Asian Massage Parlor game?

I guess I should mention I like flight sims, some w/ dog fights & HAWX was OK.
I have tried some hunting & fishing games too & those are relaxing.

I also had some fun in Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity but will never finish the game - if it ever really ends.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, great topic!

Thanks for the replies guys.

I won't quote each of you that replied here but:

RE: I specified PC because I don't want Mario Kart or beer pong. ;)

RE: Yes, I have a ton of racing games, G27 Wheel, Playseat.

RE: Stanley Parable. On my wish list, but watched some youtubes & it seems bleak.

RE: Monkey Island = http://store.steampowered.com/app/31170/

Thx, I didn't know it was reinvented, but did not care for the original.

RE: Trine & Lego. I was playing Trine 2 for awhile & it just got repetitive, but I like it a lot.

Same with the Lego games, but I will return to those this weekend - THANKS!

RE: Castle Crashers, Magicka = wow, that's kinda' different. Very console-ish. Not for me.

RE: Minecraft is hideously ugly, so I bought Landmark. It's OK, but so damn slow.

I only play 20-30 minutes now-a-days & then switch games & I'm bored in an hour.

RE: Emulators. Some things were fun, but just a huge hassle.

RE: Goat, Train, Semi-Truck, Rock, Tea Party Sims... not even funny dudes.

RE: Pool Nation & Kentucky Route Zero = ADDED TO WISHLIST!

Kentucky Route Zero looks slow & creepy, but maybe I'll like some other story stuff.

RE: Barbie. Every boy loves Barbie, right?

RE: The Talos Principle. I saw pre-release video & forgot I had it wishlisted. THX!

RE: Recettear. My kids played stuff like that when they were little. Not for me tho.

RE: I have Sims 3 & Medieval. I have to really be in a "mood" to play Sims.

I don't know what that mood is called, but it doesn't strike me very often...

RE: Tiny & Big. Nice deviation! Graphically bland. Are there ever colors besides brown?

RE: Dora the Explorer. Fucking hard forum.

Quantum Conundrum. It was made by the creator of Portal although doesn’t quite reach the greatness that was Portal. Still there is something about John de Lancie aka Q from Star Trek TNG talking to you that is entertaining.

Crayon Physics
Dungeons of Dredmor - You kill things but it's light-hearted and humorous
Kerbal Space Program
The Lego games - Lego Marvel is probably the most fun from an adult perspective
Proteus
The Night of the Rabbit
Ticket to Ride
To The Moon

To the Moon is decent, if you can deal with dialogue which seems like it was written by a 15 year old.

Psychonauts

Rayman 2 and 3.

Beyond Good and Evil isn't a happy story-----but the it's very colorful, has a ton of character, and the gameplay/graphics are not super gritty and gruesome. The gameplay also de-emphasizes direct violence, much of the time.

Uh

Get Gary's Mod and just play games like Hide and Seek, Prop Hunt, Murder, Melon Bomber?
