As topic says, nec ea274wmi white version has a good deal on it. Get it now or wait for the new batch of possibly free sync monitors? is this a good deal? And how is this monitor for games?

=Dead= reviewed the ea274wmi and for gaming it is not that good.
There are only 2 Overdrive settings (Response Improve On/Off) and with On there is bad inverse ghosting, with Off there is no overdrive at all and the panel is too slow.
Average Input lag = 22.5ms
I think you'd be better off with the Dell, or one of the other WQHD monitors that get recommended often.
You could also get the 144hz Acer but it is expensive due to G-sync, or maybe wait for the 120hz FreeSync MG279Q.

Thank you for your response. The Asus mg279q really sounds too good to be affordable. Forget the Acer gsync. The very presence of gsync will jack up the prices.
Any idea when this Asus is coming out and any indication about the prices?

Yep, there is some news and speculation on tftcentral:

"Asus have reportedly said at CES that the screen will ship late in Q1 and at a retail price of $599 USD. Asus UK told us that they expect the screen to be available around Q2 based on current estimates, but plans could change and we all know what happened with the delays of the ROG Swift PG278Q model."

Yeah. The swift indeed was a debacle as far as release went.
Looking around, there seems to be a couple of options.
There's an acer k272hul for 330 dollars and then there is a Benq gw2765ht for 390 dollars.
Both seem to even have a semi glossy screen! I mean I'm unable to find that luxury on even the more expensive monitors.
Do you recommend any of those? I play strategy games like total war for the most part.
Thanks for your responses. God bless.

You're welcome ;)

The AHVA use a ~15% Haze semi-gloss/semi-matte hybrid coating, it is not truly semi-gloss (ca. 1-5% Haze) which is actually quite reflective.
But as far as I know that is as light as it goes currently for non-glossy IPS-type, the AH-IPS and PLS alternatives have slightly higher Haze values of ~18%.
Most expensive professional monitors have heavier coatings, 20-30% Haze is common now, earlier it was even higher sometimes.

On a quick glance I can find a couple of english reviews:

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2765ht.htm
and the =Dead= reviews:
http://www.overclockers.ru/lab/5879...or_i_testirovanie_monitora_Acer_B27 6HUL.html is B276HUL the same monitor?

If you play mostly strategy games, input lag of around 20-30ms is acceptable. Its more important with shooters where you need fast and precise aiming.
Looks like there is also a TN version of the Acer with a similar name, sometimes the TN is listed as K272HUL, sometimes the IPS is listed as B276HUL.
Overall the BenQ seems to be the better of the two because of overshoot and input lag problems on the Acer.

Read the =DEAD='s review. It's overpriced for what it offers. With not really accurate factory calibration for the price, bad blb, 22ms lag, and an average color temperature uniformity.
