check your routes and add them as needed.
My guess is you need to add a route for 10.0.0.1/24 to both.
Remember anything not routed by a specific route goes out the default gateway,

Arent the x520 nics vendor locked? you need to use approved optics or dac's. Anything else wont work.

that page states that you have to use intel optics with the card, which means it is vendor locked. That means it is going to look for the vendor id on the dac's too.
