Wireless Auction Ends with Nearly $45 Billion in Bids

I guess you can call the FCC’s wireless auction a smashing success. When the air had cleared, the FCC had an additional $45 Billion in bids to add to the plus column.

The FCC’s reserve price of $10.6 billion was quickly surpassed; the final sum is more than double the previous record of $19.1 billion set in 2008.
