The Sony hack was an inside job? I thought Sony was going to officially blame North Korea for the hack?

Absolutely an inside job. Sony as it was already stated by Tak Ne will blame everything else though to minimize internal conflict and a spanking from shareholders.

But Sony will also blame pirates of course since they were the ones that hacked in right?

Or maybe they did it deliberately so they could blame hackers/pirates/ISPs and try to get congress to pass them some laws that are more friendly to sending out extortion emails to ISP customers.

Imagine if the Buggy Whip Manufacturers manages to lobby congress into regulating the car industry into the ground back in the day, where would we be? The average 'citizen' would be riding a mule and picking up shit while the elite bankers would still be in $100,000.00+ porches, ferraris, etc...
