Ok so I just bit the bullet. I got myself a second 295X2. So I'm sitting here knowing my current PSU wont' be enough.

With 2 295X2s(quadfire) @1050/5200, 2 1Tb HDs, 1 SSD, Core I7-950 @ 4.2ghz(corsair H80I water cooling), 12GB DDR3 2200mhz, and a blu ray drive. WIll 1600 watts be enough?

I was looking at the EVGA 1600 Watt G2-x1. Would that be a good choice? Or is there something better for a reasonable price?

I would say you're looking at about 300 watts per GPU, for a grand total of 1200 watts for GPUs. Your processor, depending on voltage, can be anywhere from 200-300 watts. The x58 chipset is known for consuming more power than most other chipsets, so you're looking at 100-120 watts. So theoretically, yes, 1600 watts will be enough. Realistically, as long as you aren't benching or running synthetic benchmarks all day long, you'll be fine. Gaming won't max out your cards, especially in quadfire due to scaling, and most games won't max out all four cores of your CPU.

If you can swing $40 more, I would go for the EVGA 1600 P2. At your high power usage, the extra efficiency may pay itself off. Also, a more efficient power supply will put less strain on your household circuits. Make sure that you're on a 20 amp circuit with wiring rated for 20 amps.

I have a 1500w myself to support the setup in my sig. I have no issues at full load when playing BF4 and m y CPU O/c'ed.
