MSI GTX 980 Gaming video output concern over dvi

I own a WQHD (2560x1440) monitor. How do I connect MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G to use 2560x1440 resolution? The specification for card states:

DVI Connectors
1 (Dual-link DVI-I)
Max Resolution: 2048x1536 @60 Hz.
HDMI Connectors
1 (version 1.4a/2.0)
Max Resolution: 4096x2160 @24 Hz (1.4a), 3840x2160 @60 Hz (2.0)
DisplayPort
3 (version 1.2)
Max Resolution: 4096x2160 @60 Hz

So I am kinda confused here. The monitor supports dual link dvi but states the max res is 2048x1536 lol

Ok so I have a 60hz 2560x1440p yamakasi ds270 which does not support display port converters . Anyway I am running 2560x1440p just fine now over dual link on my g1 gaming card. Is the MSI gtx 980 gaming restricted to 2048x1536 over dvi even if it is dual link? WTF

When using dual link the red should double to 4096 x
Very misleading I guess that is max using analog.
