Facebook is changing its policy on the use of pseudonyms so that people are not forced to use their birth names.

I want to apologize to the affected community of drag queens, drag kings, transgender, and extensive community of our friends, neighbors, and members of the LGBT community for the hardship that we've put you through in dealing with your Facebook accounts over the past few weeks.

You have to use your real name on FB? I don't and none of my friends do either.

Lol at thinking anyone is going to catch you if you use a fake name. I used a fake last name for years just so I wouldn't appear on random people's searches. All my actual friends can find me on Facebook without any difficulty. Facebook has never "caught on" or given me grief, or had any way whatsoever to detect that my FB name isn't my actual name.

This is funny because I have seen a few people, including family members who were not able to join FB because it said their real name was not acceptable.

I think this is covering a different issue than just using a fake name.

Also, why? A lot of people do it and its a huge pain in the ass for when I want to find old friends.

Just like the lady who didn't want to take her religious garb off for the driver's license. We're being too PC.

Meanwhile people are blowing themselves up, beheading others, and jerking off to kiddie porn, yet someone needed to bring it to our attention, that Jessica was really James and apologize? Who Fucking cares.

I don't care what peoples sexual orientation is but these people take it way too far.

We decided to let 10-12 year olds on after the stress and trauma it caused them when their older friends and sibblings had facebook.

During this policy of real name enforcement, did they still allow you to change names? I have people on FB that change their last names every few weeks.

When I had it (years ago) you could change your name as often as you wanted which is strange that this was even an issue to begin with. Many people today have aliases or names that you know aren't real.

Once I found out FB was going through and shutting down fake accounts and those who have the incorrect name I set one up featuring a decoy duck. It's still active.

My Cat does, but then again he's the only one I allow to even have a FB account. And he passed away a year ago.

I have a facebook account for posting questions on cat forums (cat ladies more receptive to posters with tits) and clipping coupons that come up from time to time as well as Waze, and there I'm a short lady with long blond hair.

I'm pretty hot actually.

Interesting that Google Dropped this policy about a month ago and now suddently this is problem which Facebook is now being criticized for.

What are Google CEO's politics vs. Zuckerburg's? Just curious?
