thinking about buying a R9 280

From everything I have looked at it seems to be the cheaper and better option. Does anyone have any reasons to stay nvidia that I may have overlooked?
 
why dont you consider a gtx 970 ? or a 770 these says these stuff goes very cheap because most people upgrading .
 
The 970 and 980 just released. I'd sit on buying a card for a week and let prices react if you still want a 280 after that.
 
oh jeez I knew those cards were out I don't know why I didn't even think about them. Good plan guys I'll give it a week or two and see what happens.
 
certainly ATM its worthless to buy a R9 280 Specially if AMD will drop the prices of their current cards, with the nvidia price of the 970 at 330$ i would not buy even a 280X at more than 150$ or a 290 at 200$.
 
Those prices are about right , they will drop in prices when the new gen comes out .
