Hello All,

I am looking for the best 24" IPS or PVA Monitor! It must be glow free, flicker free, and overall excellent QC and build quality. Price is really not a major issue. I will use it mainly for programming, light gaming, light video work, but mainly office related tasks. I will likely buy two of these to be used in tandem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am currently using an HPZR24W that is reaking havoc on my eyes. The device specs in my signature will likely also be completely changed to much higher quality ones.

Thanks in advance!

If price is not an issue, get a glow free Eizo CX240 (matte) or CX241 (glossy)., otherwise the BenQ BL2411PT is the best under 400$ along with the semi-glossy Samsung S24A850D, but none of the cheaper models have excellent quality control. Review links can be found here.

Sony FW900: Better color than IPS, 100Hz at 1920x1200, zero glow.

Sony FW900: Better color than IPS, 100Hz at 1920x1200, zero glow.

Sorry, but no. It's actually a 22.5" screen, not to mention the challenge of finding one that's useable over 10 years after it was discontinued.

yeah, but you forgot that FW900 is not flicker free... It is pretty much most flickering 1920x1200 monitor out there. Despite it being superior at many things to any other monitor out there it doesn't make it good for 'programming'. Playing games yes, watching movies also, but any text work is better done on LCD

BTW. you cannot get 100Hz on FW900. I use 95.904 at 1920x1200, probably it is possible to squeeze more refresh rate but definitely not 100Hz

I have GDM-FW900's with less than 3,000 hours of use, Grade A+ fully calibrated and adjusted to Sony factory specs. PM for information...

Unkle Vito!
