Hi there,

Looking at a new system to replace my main PC (1090T in the sig).
I am wanting it have a 1TB M.2 (PCIe) drive for OS and games.

I love the look of Haswell-E and X99, but i am a little daunted by the price.
Having all those PCIe 3.0 lanes spare on the CPU seems perfect for M.2.

I hate the notion of an 8370 and 990FX (dead platform), but the Asrock killer at least has M.2 which makes it a possibility.
The M.2 only uses 2x PCIe 2.0 lanes, but it is connected straight to the CPU, and not across the chipset.

What i haven't really looked at is Haswell and Z97, if only because i have always had contempt for Intel's market segmentation in limiting PCIe so much on both the CPU and the chipset.
That said, there are numerous ways in which M.2 support could be implemented and I haven't followed it closely enough to see what has been tried...

From the point of view of providing decent M.2 support for an enthusiast build, can anyone recommend me a decent Z97 board?
