Chrome Browser May Soon Be Much More Like Chrome OS

Google Chrome (browser) is getting wiser as it gets older and has opted to take several of the best features from Chrome (the OS) and incorporate them into the browser for added speed and ease of operation. I hope at some point in the future the plan is for the two to merge to avoid further confusion in the naming schema.


Google is essentially taking user features found in Chrome OS and making them front and center in the browser as well.

So, essentially built for tablets? Lets make everything confusing and slow as hell to do. Progress!

Maybe it might be better, but knowing Google, it will probably be for the worst.

Hell, having two different gmail accounts is something Google can't seem to manage. One of the main reasons Chrome is never used and I stick to Firefox.

What are you talking about? Chrome OS is made for chromebooks. Less to do with tablets and WAY more to do with netbooks/laptops.

Also another WTF. Google easily lets you login / switch between multiple accounts, both from their webpage and from Chrome.
 
Chrome OS is awesome; I love its simplicity. Makes me laugh when someone drops 2 grand on a Mac when they could have just gotten a Chromebook.
 
I hope Google makes a real "Windows style" OS for the desktop in the near future. I would consider switching from Windows to Google if they did that.
 
To the user who said managing more than 1 google account , i dont have any issues.

I don't really like either Google or Apple but this is the stupidest I've read in a long time.

Yeah when I hear folks tell me that they just bought a Mac I think "well that's a lot to spend for looking at porn and Amazon!"
 
Thank god the only time I use Chrome is when i stream via chromecast...won't visit normal pages using it. refuse.

But porn looks so much better on a RETINA display......:D:D:D

And seriously, I hate chromebooks. They are one of the most closed, limited systems I have ever used. I found I cannot even watch a wmv video off of one of my friends flashdrives that he brought to me. I tried installing 2 or 3 extensions for it, nope, still didn't work. Let alone do any editing, or conversions....chromebooks suck for any real work, and are just mere 'toys'.
