The ranking is by institutional investors ... although ethical business practices is a factor it isn't the sole factor ... I suspect consumers wouldn't agree with many of their top choices ;)

WoW. That list of international robber barons is everything that is wrong with the world. And this is what gets called "respected"? To the best of my knowledge the only one I think that is not a piece of shit is Home Depot, at least I have only heard good things about them. Hey where is Costco?
 
The most important factor is profitability and return on investment, you know because it's for investors. In that respect it's hard to argue with the list, all very profitable.
