I have a brilliant idea! I'm going to steal 900 phones from my job and hope no one notices as I sell them on eBay for $272,290.00.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for New Jersey said Hopkins, who worked as an account executive for a Verizon Wireless branch office in Trevose, Bucks County, placed orders for cellphones, accessories and other devices in the names of existing customers. Hopkins had the merchandise shipped to a relative's home in New Jersey, manipulated the company's records to conceal the orders, and then sold the items on eBay.

Probably could have gotten away with it if he wasn't so greedy. That many items, someone's bound to notice and start tracking things down.

That's why most crooks eventually get caught.

I find it amazing that these people think they can keep stealing, writing themselves checks, etc., and that nobody is going to miss $200,000+

I have to admit I'm a little impressed that he has over 400 connections on LI.
