With the news of Facebook sharing browsing history with its advertisers, Microsoft isn’t going to miss a chance to make sure their users know that Microsoft will be taking the high road to protect your privacy.

We don’t use what you say in email, chat, video calls or voice mail, to target advertising to you. We don’t use your documents, photos or other personal files to target advertising to you. Our advertising policies are covered in detail in the Privacy Statements.

I read the email that was sent to me. I appreciate it, hopefully they are doing what was outlined so maybe others will follow suite.
