Ubuntu Users: Here’s How to Upgrade to 14.04

It's been a while since I ran Ubuntu, or any Linux actually, but I sure did miss how easy things like upgrading to the next release was.

Although I remember it being apt-get dist-upgrade I believe. do-release-upgrade sounds a bit easier for most people who didn't use terminal for updates to remember.

Most versions do use apt-get dist-upgrade but ubuntu has its own system.

Thanks for this news post. It informed me of the new version for backend tool server we are using at work.

My Ubuntu laptop told me an upgrade was ready when I turned it on, I clicked "OK" and it installed itself.
Damn.
Linux is hard.

Last time I installed a Linux was like 10 years ago.
As soon as Ubuntu 14.04 came out I repartitioned my SSD and install on it.
I thought 20 seconds of booting to Windows 8 was fast, but Ubuntu boots up in mere 3~4 seconds!!
