Hey guys, I just picked up a Lenovo x700, it has a i7 3820 in it, and GTX 660 in it.

Well, ive been overclocking it and finally reached, 1201mhz core. and 6900mhz memory.

Then I noticed, it says in NVidia control panel it has 1152 cuda cores! Is this right? Kombuster says the same thing as well. Although, only a gtx 760 has 1152 cuda cores. This reads as a GTX 660 W/ 1.5gb ram and 1152 cuda cores.

OEM version was released before desktop 660 and uses cut down chip from 680/670/660ti series.

Or at least that's what I remember.

The GTX 660 OEM its GK104 the GTX 660 Regular its GK106 as Michaelius said its just a cut-down 660TI.. the GTX 660 OEM have lower TDP than regular 660 and lower clocks but the higher Core Count and ROPS make the OEM better than the Regular 660 but with a bit lower bandwidth.. 5.8gbps vs 6gbps in the regular 660.. about the vRAM well.. i think the 660 OEM its a more.. hmm lets say Honest card.. the 660 and 660TI 2GB vRAM are really capped to 1.5gb vRAM due to the 192bits and the asynchronous memory controller. so those 2gb are invisible for drivers, and just can't use 1.5gb of vRAM because if more than that amount its reached the last memory controller its used and will work at 64bits making a HUGE impact in the bandwidth reducing it to 48gbps.. the complexity of the Memory Controller and drivers make it unable to use more than 1.5gb vRAM. so.. at the end which 660 its better? =D the OEM.. More Shaders, more Rops, win..

I like the OEM GTX 660, I am very shocked with the performance, Im running crisis 3 on Ultra without AA, at 1680X1050 With pretty smooth game play! Although, you can really watch it fold at the knees, once Anti Aliasing is added. The lack of memory bandwidth just really kills the performance, especially with 4XAA. It least is isn't 128bit bus width.

Anyways, I want to add another one in this system. Being that it is a GK104. Can I use any kind of Gtx 660 for SLI? Can I use a GTX 660 Ti with it?

And thankyou, you have all been very helpful.

I finally got a BIOS to work and I finally unlocked this OEM GTX 660

I was a able to flash the bios to a different one, now I have voltage control! What a difference!

So far I am boosting to 1280mhz Core @ over / 7200Mhz memory. I am waiting for 3Dmark2013 to download, So far I have put a couple hours in gaming, and stability testing.

It is just pretty dang impressive for such a little midrange card This card has a 824 MHz core, and 889 Mhz boost. I am very impressed with the overclock Ive gotten, I know there is more left! temps are great to! 172.8GB/s, I can get voltage all the way up to 1.225volts, from the original 1.087volts. Temps stay under 65c.

Thanks to everyone who helped, and worked on unlocking our 600 series cards. And titans. GREAT WORK!
