If you experienced outages or errors with your Samsung phone, tablet or smart TV early this morning, Samsung has a very good excuse: one of their data centers was on fire. Updates say there were no fatalities and that service has been restored in most cases. Thanks to forum subscriber Ocean for the link.

I see that the Apple patient lawsuits have turned up the heat on Samsung :p

Pretty sure Apple has the patent on electronic devices that burst into a sudden and unexplainable fire.
Expect a lawsuit.

more reasons the cloud sucks... it can catch fire! lol

Ya, and more eye opening as to how much crap companies are collecting and using from us that a data center going out causes devices to not function.

Also would of though samsung would have more than 1 location...geoip servers around the world of something..

Halon not working? O wait... maybe they didn't put halon systems in.

I thought the same thing. Perhaps the fire was on the same floor as the servers, but started and propagated in some cubicle-dweller's space?

PS: I LOL'd @ "Cloud on fire" comment.

I'm starting to wonder if all of these "accidents", at many of these Samsung facilities, are a sign of corporate sobotage.
