The Internet of Things (IoT) offers a tremendous opportunity for businesses to truly transform themselves by realizing the potential of data in existing, unconnected infrastructures. To support open interoperability standards and common architectures for connecting legacy devices to the cloud and enabling end-to-end analytics, Intel, along with AT&T, Cisco, GE and IBM, today announced the formation of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC). The IIC is a newly formed not-for-profit group with an open membership that will take the lead in establishing interoperability across various industrial environments for a more connected world.
