Well this goes to prove that you can’t please everyone, especially Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, who has announced his disapproval of one of ICANN’s proposed TLDs. Well that just .sucks. :D

"As a number of commenters asked during the public review period of these applications, will your organization allow a third party to purchase and operate 'ICANN.sucks'?"

I guess the true colors of Dem's are showing. Must not want to chance the truth about them coming out in a negative light. www.democrats.suck would be a great domain name.

every entity in america is going to have to buy their clone in this domain, just to avoid having it used against them.

hardocp, hardforum, anandtech, amazon, ebay, yahoo, apple, microsoft on and on and on.

it will turn into a massive cybersquating tld

In fairness....some of these new TLDs are pretty damn unprofessional sounding.

I've always been against all these new "fancy" tlds. Just more crap to turn the web into a bigger clusterfuck than it is.

freedom of speech. The senator should know that.

as long as it's not libel...
