OP updated, I also uploaded a mirror to gamefront 'cause AMD's site seems to be getting hammered. Enjoy!

installed smooth -- fired up BF4 switched to mantle, and got WORSE performance than with the 13.12's

Crossfire 290's here -- on a 2500k highly overclocked.

Oh and then nice constant audio studder is back for me. So basically - par for the course for AMD and drivers. As I said days ago... they fix one thing, and break two others.

I feel stupid for being excited about this whole thing.

Edit - disabled crossfire, just to see what would happen and I get crashes in the game. (keep in mind I haven't had a crash in teh game for weeks now, in gaming sessions that lasted hours) this was 5 min into a match.

Dual graphics means mobile + discrete (and that only applies if you installed the mobility drivers)

Admittedly, I'm not in a position to benefit from these drivers even though I have two HD7950's in my system, since I don't play Battlefield 4(though I suppose I could download the Oxide benchmark to see what sort of gains I might possibly expect from Mantle on my system). But I have to say, reading the release notes for these drivers is quite disappointing. They had been hyping Mantle for quite a while now, and Battlefield 4's support for it more specifically. We're well past the originally scheduled release window for the Mantle updates and they can STILL only provide what appears to be the bare minimum amount of work to qualify this driver for release. Optimized only for their very newest and highest-end cards, buggy Crossfire, this looks a lot more like an "oh shit, we're way behind, let's just release what we have" sort of driver. I'm not usually one to advocate throwing people under the bus, but if the reasons for the woefully incomplete nature of this driver are because the AMD guys were so busy trying to get Battlefield 4 in working order, I'd really like to know. If it's just because AMD overpromised and underdelivered....not cool, guys. Yes, I fully expect that future drivers will improve Mantle performance, stability and compatibility. I just expected something a little more complete by now.
