Microsoft Releases Windows 8.1 Version of Kodu Game Tools

Microsoft has released its Windows 8.1 version of Kodu for kids to sharpen up their game building skills for free in the Windows Store. Along with Kodu, Microsoft will also be releasing Project Spark, an up scaled version of Kodu for older aspiring game designers.

Kodu lets you create games through a simple visual programming language. Kodu can be used to teach creativity, problem solving, storytelling, as well as programming. Anyone can use Kodu to make a game with no design or programming skills.

Knew about Spark and had thought about playing around with it some to see what it was like.

Never heard about Kodu. Will have to get a copy for my nephews, they would enjoy getting to make their own Xbox 360 game.
