Maybe I'm missing the point here but, why would you need a "save for later" option on Facebook?

Reportedly, Facebook (FB) is testing a feature that will allow its users to save shared links for later reading. The feature is much similar to what applications like Instapaper and Pocket offer.

I'm trying to figure out what FB's grand vision is. It's just a mess of features right now.

I do frequently check mine before work. It could be handy but tends to be redundant with the 8000 other news feeds I have.

Actually it makes sense. Imagine you're at work and your music buddy released a song and posted on fb but u can't hear it right now. Later you'll have to search thru whole news feed to try to find it. If you remember.

Facebook now has to play "Whac-A-Mole".. every time some new app or feature comes along and starts to steal mind share and people's attention away from FB, it either has to emulate that app/feature into FB, buy the company, or both.

I liked it better when things were just e-mail and text.
