With twenty million take down notices each month, there are bound to be mistakes like this. This is just funny because Microsoft tried to censor itself. ;)

It’s no secret that copyright holders are trying to take down as much pirated content from Google as they can. This sometimes leads to unavoidable mistakes, but the track record Microsoft is building leans toward sheer incompetence. Last week the software giant’s anti-piracy partner asked Google to remove a link to its Office 2007 Wikipedia entry, several pages on Microsoft.com, and an open source software project for SharePoint templates.

Sad part is that the request don't come directly from Microsoft, but they hired a 3rd party to compile and submit list on their behalf. According to an update to the article, Microsoft has since fired that company.

I think they should request some or all of their payments back while at it. I can see a few errored entries. It happens, but to pay somebody and they include your own site and other sites that are obvious not bad sites boils down to them basically just doing a search for microsoft and including just any any link that they find.
